BORD NA NOG AGM 25.01.2014 

PAUL MURTAGH OPENED THE MEETING AT 5.05 AND WELCOMED EVERYBODY.  HE READ OUT LAST YEARS AGM MINUTES (20TH JAN 2013). THEY WERE PROPOSED BY JOHN GALLAGHER AND SECONDED BY JARLATH PRENDERGAST.

PAUL EXPLAINED THAT THE UNDERAGE PLAYED IN APPROX 50-60 COMPETITIVE LEAGUE AND CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES AND PARTICIPATED IN SEVERAL BLITZS AND TOURNAMENTS.

2013 UNDERAGE TRAINING STARTED IN NOVEMBER 2012 (GYM) AND THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND THE BORD NA NOG WERE DELIGHTED WITH THE LARGE TURNOUT THAT ATTENDED TRAINING SESSIONS IN ALL GRADES.

THEN JACKIE HENRY READ OUT THE UNDERAGE ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.  ON BEHALF OF THE BORD NA NOG SHE WANTED TO THANK THE TRAINERS DAMIEN, PAUL AND NOEL QUINN, ADRAIN HENEGHAN, JAMES FALLON ALAN PRENDERGAST AND PAUL MURTAGH, JOHN GALLAGHER, SHANE VAHEY NIALL MCGURRIN AND JOHN SLOYAN AND TOMMY HUGHES FOR ALL THEIR HELP AND DURING THE YEAR. JACKIE THANKED JAMES AND ALAN FOR ORGAINISING THE MAYO GAELS UNDER 12 BLITZ HELD IN ABBEY PARK INCLUDED TEAMS FROM BALLINTUBBER ROSCOMMON AND TUAM. HOPE TO DO IT AGAIN THIS YEAR.

UNDER 14S WON AGAINST EASTERN GAELS IN MCHALE PARK IN JUNE. TWO UNDER 14 PLAYERS CONOR JORDON AND CATHAL HENEGHAN WERE SELECTED FOR MAYO SOUTH PANEL.  UNDER 16S WON SOUTH MAYO B FINAL AGAINST SCHRULE-GLENCORRIB LAST AUGUST.

GERRY CANAVAN, TOMMY KEANE ROSS BURKE FRANCIS REGAN WERE SELECTED FOR MAYO UNDER 15 AND UNDER 16 DEVELOPMENT PANEL IN 2013.

THE CLUB ALSO WANTS TO CONGRATULATE KEVIN JORDON FOR MAKING THE ALL IRELAND WINNING MAYO MINOR PANEL IN 2013.

A GREAT HIGHLIGHT FOR THE BORD NA NOG WAS THE PARTICIPATION OF U12S TOURNAMENT IN CROKE PARK LAST OCTOBER.  THANKS TO PLAYERS PARENTS AND JAMES ALAN AND PAUL FOR A GREAT DAY.

€1300 WAS RAISED IN TESCO BAG PACK, THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED OUT ON THE TWO DAYS.
APPROX €1500 WAS RAISED IN THE QUIZ NIGHT IN JULY.  THANKS TO ALL THAT HELPED OUT.
IT TOOK €5759.73 TO RUN THE BORD NA NOG.  THE INCOME WAS €4444.40. THE BORD NA NOG IS IN DEFICIT OF €1315.33 YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 2013.

PAUL WENT ON TO SAY HE HAS REACHED THE END OF HIS THREE YEAR TERM AND WANTED TO THANK MEMBERS OF THE CLUB, JOHN GALLAGHER DEREK, MAUREEN, ALAN, MARTIN AND JACKIE.

HE THEN REQUESTED A PROPOSER AND  SECONDER FROM THE FLOOR FOR A NEW BORD NA NOG CHARIMAN, NOEL COMMONS.

PAUL THEN STEPPED DOWN FROM HIS POSITION AND NOEL COMMONS TOOK HIS SEAT.

NOEL THANKED EVERYBODY, PAUL FOR BEING CHAIRPERSON.  NOEL SAID ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS REGARDING THE BORD NA NOG OR OFFERS OF ASSISTANCE IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

HE SAID THERE WAS A GOOD ATTITUDE TOWARDS UNDER AGE FOOTBALL FROM THE CLUB.  HE WOULD LIKE TO MEET WITH TEAM MANAGERS AND PARENTS AND GET IDEAS FOR FUNDRAISING AND KEEP EXPENSES UNDER CONTROL.
