In a very competitive series of games an impressive St. Brigid’s defeated Mayo Gaels in the Blitz final while Tuam Stars eventually overcame Ballintubber to claim the U12 Shield.

After the Blitz all U12 players participated in a well contested and enjoyable Puc/Cic fada competition (sponsored by Mayo County Council).

The Hurling skills of the Mayo lads came to the fore in the Puc fada with Luke Gallagher of Mayo Gaels coming first with a great puc over long distance. Nathan McGurrin (Mayo Gaels) finished second with Liam Egan of St. Brigid’s clinching third place.

The winning players were delighted with their prizes and the club thanks John Gallagher and Alan Prendergast for organising what turned out to be a very enjoyable Puc/Cic fada event.
